A joint initiative between students from the National Humanitarian High School “St. St. Cyril and Methodius” and young people using social services in Blagoevgrad brought new life to traditional handcrafts during the holidays.
As part of the project “Knitted Wonders for Christmas,” participants created handmade knitted gifts to delight their loved ones and friends. The initiative united young people with different social backgrounds in a creative process that promotes mutual support, social integration, and the development of new skills.
“The knitted items are not just gifts – they carry symbolism, care, and personal emotion. Christmas is warmer and more special this year because these young people showed how miracles happen with open hearts,” shared the organizers.
The initiative is part of the local community’s efforts to promote inclusive activities and creativity among young people in the city.
